There are one or two tales about the success formula for music that appears on Spotify. If that were the case, Downslow's ‘Ganymede I & II’ shouldn't have been released at all. This piece of music is clearly too long!
But if you've listened to this single from his album ‘Planet Down’, you'll understand why we don't give a damn about such good advice! Okay, Ganymede is actually made up of two parts, both of which are already ‘too long’ on their own: The ‘Orbital Drift’ meets the ‘Sample Return Mission’ and merges into an eleven-minute acoustic spectacle. No wonder that this is also the closing track on Downslow's LP. It takes you on a journey with dub sounds, spherical pads and flying synth sounds and sends you into the vastness of Downslow's musical imagination.
As with the other singles, we have also included two bonus singles. Anbeater tames Ganymede in his own skilful way. Downslow himself worked on the remix of ‘Kawaii’, which was also heavily inspired by Ganymede.
So take some time and listen this! It will be quality time. Trust us.
