As you probably know, we sometimes play with genre boundaries at Trust in Wax. Especially on ANTITYPE we like to experiment with new sounds ... and the new release of Atwashere is exactly a prime example for that: No matter if it's fun-punk, honest metal or proper singersongwriting, on "ReForged" you'll find six remixes of six very different songs. Sure, Atwashere was clearly off the classic sample paths of funk, soul and reggae. But this is a journey through sound!

With the use of his vintage equipment he has pitched, bent and chopped the originals, making them his without loosing respect to the roots of each tune! At this point we also want to say "Big Up!" to the artists who got involved in this experiment and entrusted their pieces 100% to Atwashere. A big thanks also goes out to Create Music NRW and our "Partner in Crime", the Ton e.V. from Unna (Atwashere's old hometown!). Without these great people behind it, we wouldn't have been able to realize the project "Beatbastelschmiede", through which Atwashere was able to meet so many nice, talented and creative musicians from his old hometown.
